A 2026 Message from CEO Lorenze
Before there was a brand, there were moments. Late nights watching the women I love tie their hair up with care because they had to be ready for the next day. Conversations about edges thinning from stress nobody talks about out loud. That quiet pride Black women carry even when they’re tired. Even when they’re holding everybody else together.
I didn’t grow up dreaming about running a haircare company. I grew up loving my people. Loving our culture. Loving the way Black hair tells stories before we ever open our mouths. Grow Your Edges Back came from that place. A place of respect. A place of watching, listening, and realizing that care shouldn’t feel like a luxury or a trend. It should feel like home.
So before we talk about products, growth, or where we’re headed in 2026, I want you to know this: every jar, every formula, every decision comes from a real place. A place that says, I see you. And I’m grateful you’re here.
This Ain’t About Clout. It’s About Care.
In a time when every brand is chasing trends, going viral, or begging for attention, I had to remind myself GYEB was never built for hype.
It was built for healing.
Our products aren’t fast fashion for your hair. They’re not made to impress the algorithm.
They’re made to work.
To nourish.
To protect.
And to honor every part of you that’s been holding it down for everybody else.
We don’t cut corners.
We don’t water down ingredients.
And we don’t treat our customers like they’re disposable.
Because the truth is: when you grow, we grow.
Every jar sold means another Queen getting closer to wholeness.
Every order fulfilled means another scalp covered with intention.
And every message you send sharing how this gel laid your baby hairs without flaking, or how our oil helped you feel confident again, that’s why we’re here.
We don’t measure our success by shoutouts.
We measure it by the roots we touch.
Giving Our People Their Flowers NOW.
This year, I’m not waiting for the “10-year anniversary” to give y’all your flowers.
I see the support.
I see the loyalty.
I see how y’all tag us, refer your friends, post your braid styles, and keep us part of your real-life routines.
And I don’t take that lightly.
GYEB isn’t a brand built on strangers. It’s built on family.
On community.
On you.
You’re the reason we’re still standing.
You’re the reason we can keep creating.
And if nobody’s told you lately: thank you for believing in us before the world caught up.
We’re Still Planting Seeds
This work has always been bigger than product. That’s why in 2026, we’re doubling down on our mission to invest in our future, the next generation of Black brilliance.
Through our partnership with the Boss Kids Braiding Academy, we’re not just talking legacy. We’re building it.
This program is teaching our youth what the school system won’t:
How to own their brand.
How to protect their creativity.
How to lead in industries we’ve always shaped, but rarely owned.
From young stylists learning to braid with confidence, to kids designing their first logos, we’re giving them the tools to not just dream, but to do.
Because the future of Black Hair belongs in Black hands.
And we’re making sure it stays that way.
Made in Black America And Built to Make It Better
Every GYEB product you use is more than a purchase. It’s a statement.
A statement that says:
- We deserve products formulated for us, by us.
- We deserve clean ingredients that honor our health and our heritage.
- We deserve brands that don’t just take from our culture, but pour back into it.
In 2026 and beyond, “Made in Black America” isn’t just a tagline... it’s our blueprint.
We’re focused on healthy haircare that doesn’t compromise on quality and healthy minds that don’t compromise on joy. We’re bringing softness back to the center of the conversation, because softness is strength, and rest is resistance.
We’re making it cool to care again.
And we’re doing it our way.
So What’s Next?
Expect more product drops that come from your needs, not boardroom buzzwords.
Expect more partnerships that create access and ownership for our people.
Expect more love notes, more giveaways, more ways to stay rooted in the GYEB family.
And expect us to keep showing up, the way we always have. Authentically, unapologetically, and proudly Black-owned.
One Last Thing…
To every person who’s ever poured oil into their palms and prayed for growth, physical, emotional, spiritual, know this:
You’re not doing this alone.
We’re in this together.
Every strand. Every edge. Every step.
Thank you for rocking with Grow Your Edges Back.
Thank you for letting me be part of your routine, your healing, your home.
Let’s make 2026 the year we don’t just grow... we thrive.
With gratitude and grind,
CEO Lorenze
